one of my illustrations based on an article about a piece of crappy software that was updated but the updates only made cosmetic changes. the saying “like putting lipstick on a pig” came to mind (wikipedia defines the saying best: “a rhetorical expression, used to convey the message that making superficial or cosmetic changes is a futile attempt to disguise the true nature of a product”) so i came up with this image. ain’t she a beauty?

combined a couple of photo’s i took about three months ago. i’m calling this “four-eyes and two races”. when i originally took the shots i created the blurred eye effect with a loose glass from a lens that i placed at an angle at the end of the camera lens. today i was looking over some pics and when i saw them side-by-side thought they would look interesting combined…and the rest is history (if this was somehow historic)  ;)
